Student Association

The Students' Union at Wiltshire College is constituted as the Wiltshire College Students' Association and is affiliated to the National Union of Students. All enrolled students of Wiltshire College, both full time and part time are full members of the Association unless they 'opt out'.

On production of 2 passport sized photos you can join the National Union of Students and obtain your Democracy Card. This card recognises your membership as a student of Wiltshire College. You will need this card as proof of ID to participate in College events, for exams, and on the NUS website.

In addition to the Democracy Card you have the option to purchase the NUS Extra Card for £10. This card will enable you to get discounts in participating schemes and national stores. See your SLO for more details.

Part-time evening students can request cards by email and collect them from Reception.

The aims of the Association

  • To work with the College to promote the education and training of its members
  • To represent the interests of its members and act as a channel of communication in dealing with the college and other bodies
  • To promote, encourage and co-ordinate student societies, sports and social activities

The Student Association is an important part of life at Wiltshire College. Most of its income comes from activities in the common rooms and social events and entertainment. The money is used to maintain the pool tables and support a range of 'Community Campus' activities, trips, new equipment, furniture and entertainment.
